Instructions

Coffee Makers

  1. Pour 2oz of WaterSafe in the coffee maker reservoir
  2. Run a regular brew cycle (without coffee)
  3. Repeat every 1-3 months, as needed, depending on your water hardness level. 

Ice Makers

  1. Mix 2oz of Descaler with 1 gallon of water.
  2. Follow your ice machine cleaning procedures.
  3. Repeat every 1-3 months, as needed, depending on your water hardness level. 

Surfaces with hard water spots

shower doors, windows, cars

  1. Mix 1 tbsp with water in a 32oz spray bottle. 
  2. Apply to surface to be cleaned.
  3. Leave for about 30 seconds before wiping. 

Dishwashers/Dishes

  1. Pour 1 tbsp in dishwasher soap dispenser. 
  2. Run dishwasher cycle with or without dishes.
  3. Repeat with each load for sparkling dishes or monthly for a clean dishwasher.

Tank & Tankless Water Heaters

  1. Disconnect power to water heater.
  2. Shut off main water supply valve.
  3. Close inflow and outflow water valves, remove service caps from isolation valves, and connect hoses to the isolation valves. (If isolation valves have not been installed on your heater, disconnect inflow and outflow hoses and connect descaler hoses directly to the inflow and outflow bibs.
  4. Clean inflow water inlet screen of any sediment or dirt.
  5. Add 1QT of Zero Bull Descaler to two gallons of water in a five gallon bucket.
  6. Connect one hose to the discharge outlet of a 1/6 submersible pump and the other end of the same hose to the inflow isolation valve on the tankless water heater.
  7. Connect the second hose to the outflow isolation valve on the tankless water heater and drop the other end of the hose directly into the bucket.
  8. Open both the inflow and outflow isolation valves. 
  9. Turn pump on and allow the cleaning solution to circulate for 20 minutes.
  10. After cleaning is complete turn off the pump (don’t run the pump without being submerged in liquid).
  11. Close the inflow isolation valve, remove the hose, and replace the service gap.
  12. Remove the pump from the bucket and dispose of the used cleaning solution.
  13. Flush the tankless water heater for 5 minutes by opening the main water supply, opening the inflow isolation valve, and let water pass through outflow valve and drain on the bucket. 
  14. Close the outflow water isolation valve and remove the hose, replace the service cap, and open outflow isolation valve. 
  15. Clean inflow water inlet screen of any sediment or dirt. 
  16. Reconnect power to the water heater.
